FILTER-LAB® filtration units are ready to use equipment that incorporate a polyethersulfone membrane (PES) or Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) of 0.22 or 0.45 m. The received flasks and funnels have three different sizes, 250, 500 and 1000 ml, all graduates. The diameter of the membrane is 50 mm in units 250 and 500 ml and 90 mm diameter larger capacity units. The housing is made of polyethylene and polystyrene. Each unit has a plug to seal the bottle receiver.
The polyethersulfone (PES) and the Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) are materials with high flow rate, very low non-specific adsorption of proteins and low extractable. They are used in the filtration of high volume samples as tissue culture, biological fluids, aqueous solutions, etc.
