The main property of these filters is their hydrophobic nature, this nature does not permit the filtration of aqueous samples, nevertheless this is ideal in the filtration of gases and venting works. Likewise, the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is an extraordinary resistant material against all the solvents and existent acids except the phosphoric acid.
They are available in a non-sterile format and in 4, 13, 25 and 30mm of diameter.
